I can drawrite, the English version of Je sais Dessin’écrire for iPad is now available worldwide on the Apple App Store

I can drawrite is an “edutainment” app designed to teach kids how to write in a playful and entertaining way. We developed this app for ecole-vivante.com, a publishing house specialized in educational and learning content for kids based on renowned pedagogical methods such as Montessori’s.

Dessin’écrire is an “edutainment” app designed to teach kids how to write in a playful and entertaining way. We developed this app for ecole-vivante.com, a publishing house specialized in educational and learning content for kids based on renowned pedagogical methods such as Montessori’s.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with l’Ecole Vivante on this project and we hope that kids will have as much fun using the app (while learning how to write) as we had developing it !

Hello Moto MB508

As the news starts spreading around the web about a new Motorola device codenamed “MB508″, we have also seen this device show up in our iLbert Android analytics.

Previous evidence stemmed from the device UAProfile spotted in Wi-Fi certification records but did not mention explicitly Android as the device OS.
We now have the confirmation that it’s running Android 2.1 (unsurprisingly).

What is a smartphone by the way ?

Is this yet another Android phone from Garmin-Asus, after the A50 that was just officially announced in this pre-MWC “PR warm up” but was revealed on this very blog a month ago ?

A mysterious, unknown-yet “Garminfone” device showed up in our mobile analytics stats recently, again running Android 1.6.
Is it an alternative name for the Nuvifone A50 or a brand new device ? Time will tell, so stay tuned !

We did spot an unusual device running our Android iLbert app recently (thanks to Motally mobile analytics solution):

It is probably the announced but unnamed yet first Android device from Garmin-Asus. So now we know it should be named Nuvifone A50, and apparently it runs Android 1.6…
Hopefully this is not the Android version that will ship with the final units, because that’s kind of old for a 2010 device !

iLbert no longer available from the App Store

We’re sorry to announce that we had to remove iLbert from the App Store, per United Media’s request.
We’ve been very pleased to provide this Dilbert comic strip reader for free to Dilbert fans around the world, but United Media has released their official Dilbert app, so I guess the App Store was not big enough for both of us…
Stay tuned for more fun and nice apps, though !

iLbert now available in Android Market

We’ve just released iLbert, our mobile Dilbert comic strip reader, to the Android Market for phones with Android versions 1.5 and above (which means virtually every Android phone in circulation).
If you’re reading this post from your Android phone, you can jump directly to the Market and install iLbert right away.

iLbert 1.2: older OS version support

We’re pleased to announce the availability of iLbert 1.2 in the App Store, which brings iPhone OS 2.2.1 and 3.0 versions support.

Also, the app now determines the current date based on the US Pacific timezone, so international users won’t get this annoying “No strip available” message when checking the daily Dilbert strip in the morning or in the evening (depending on the timezone).

iLbert 1.1 is out: Twitter, Shake…

We’re pleased to announce the availability of iLbert 1.1 in the App Store, with a couple nice new features:

Twitter support: you can now share strips using Twitter. In addition to automatically wrapping the strip address in a shortened URL and posting your tweet via Safari, iLbert also supports the most popular Twitter apps:

Shake for random strip: you don’t have to go through the Date picker to load a random strip anymore. Just hit the Random icon or just shake your iPhone/iPod for random fun.
Other improvements:

Current position in the strip is now displayed below it
